Ann's World Famous Buffalo Wings
2 1/4c firmly packed brown sugar
3 Tbsp light corn syrup
1/3c. + 2Tbsp Franks Red Hot sauce
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
4c. self rising flour
1 1/2tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
4 chicken breasts
4-6c. vegetable oil
Blue cheese or Ranch Dressing for dipping.
In a skillet, deep fryer, or large pot heat oil to 375 degrees F.
In a sauce pan add brown sugar, corn syrup, Hot sauce, vinegar and water sit until smooth. Simmer(DO NOT BOIL) on med - low heat for 10-15 minutes stirring occasionally.
In a large bowl add flour, salt, pepper and paprika.
In another bowl place milk
Slice chicken breast in 1in pieces. Taking a few at a time dip chicken in milk and then into flour mixture; then repeat this process so that each piece of chicken is double-coated.
When the chicken is done drop each piece into the hot oil and fry for 5-6mins or until each piece is browned.
When the chicken is done frying, remove them to a plate lined with a couple paper towels.Place the chicken pieces into a covered container. Pour the sauce over the chicken in the container, cover, and then shake gently until each piece of chicken is coated with sauce. Pour the chicken onto a plate and serve with dressing.
