Apple Dumplings



4 Granny Smith Apples
2 cans crescent rolls
2 sticks butter
1 1/2c sugar
1 tsp vanilla cinnamon
1 small can Mountain Dew (or about a cup)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Peel and core apples. Cut apples into 8 slices each. Roll one to two apples slices in a crescent roll. Place rolled apples into a greased 9X13in baking pan. Melt butter, then add sugar and stir, add vanilla. Pour butter mixture over apples. Pour mountain dew around the edges of the baking pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake at 350 degrees F for 40minutes. Serve hot with ice cream and you can scoop the sweet sauce in the pan on top.
