Super Simple Spaghetti Sauce



1 1/2 pd hamburger
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 (15oz) can diced tomatoes
1 (15oz) can tomato sauce
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. chopped fresh parsley
1 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
1 1/2 tsp Paula Deen's House Seasoning (in earlier post)
1 1/2 tsp seasoned salt
2 tsp brown sugar
2 small bay leaves

In a large saucepan, cook hamburger, bell pepper, onion, and garlic, over medium heat, stirring until meat crumbles and is browned and vegetables are tender. Drain.
Puree 2 (15oz) cans of tomatoes. Add pureed tomatoes, diced tomatoes and tomato sauce to hamburger mixture. Add the remainder of ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally; reduce heat, and simmer, uncovered 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove and discard bay leaves. Serve over pasta.
